Benefits of Double Air Beds

While most airbeds have the same basic benefits, such as portability and ease of inflating, Double Sided Mattresses offer many benefits, particularly for camping or hosting guests for the evening. Double air beds offer several benefits, including their larger size. Single airbeds are simply too small to comfortably accommodate adults, particularly men 6'0 or taller. Double air beds are larger than 50 inches wide and 75 inches long, so those who want to spread out can use them.

These can also be made taller than a mattress or box spring, which gives them the same depth as a boxspring. The extra height can make it easier to stand and sit on the floor. If you don't have the budget for a traditional bedroom set, a raised double airbed placed on top of a plywood sheet in the bed frame may be a viable option. Here are some suggestions if you need to use your air bed frequently.

Choose an airbed made from urethane or PVC with a thickness of 5 to 7 inches for durability. Single bladders are the most economical and durable, but if you have two people who require different firmness requirements, you might consider purchasing a double bed with separate controlled chambers.

The bed's side rails are another consideration. The bladder should not extend beyond the edge of your mattress. It will buckle underneath. Foam side rails can be used to help with certain tasks, such as sitting on the edge or tying your shoes.

Most stores won't let you unpack a double-air bed and give you the chance to test it out in person. Ask the store about their return policy, and find out as much information as you can about the warranty and replacement options. Double air beds are a great investment, even though the quality of each brand and product can vary greatly.
